to 6453 Alumni.
From the early days of Blue Ribbon Sports, we tried to make the company that became Nike, a special place.
We did not want it to be a typical corporation. We could make it what we wanted, including a meritocracy where people of good will worked together.
We have not always succeeded in our high aspirations, but we have had some success and indeed we are different.
It is very gratifying to me personally to hear of the effort to create a Nike alumni association dedicated to good works. Created entirely by people who were not company founders, it’s another positive step in the initial vision.
